May17 - Another Shelter Box

Following the successful street collection in the centre of Warwick on Saturday, 2nd May 2015, £378 was collected to support the victims of the recent earthquakes in Nepal and we are grateful to the people of the town for their generosity.

Warwick Rotary Club have added sufficient money from their own charity fund to enable them to provide yet a further Shelter Box for the disaster area and Past President Richard Ashley and his wife Mary visited the headquarters of the Shelter Box organisation in Helston, Cornwall to hand over the cheque to David Glover, Rotary Relations Manager to Shelter Box.   At the same time they were able learn of the enormous work carried out in the past few weeks, supplemented by hundreds of volunteers from the area to ensure that supplies went to the stricken areas as quickly as possible.
