Rotary Club Of Warwick

Dec31 - Deaths

The Club is very sorry to learn of the death of two former members of Warwick Rotary Club.

Franco Nicolini  joined the club in 1998 and remained a member until 2007, when his business commitments as a restaurateur in Leamington forced him to resign.   During his time with us he helped to raise many thousands of pounds through his organisation of golf tournaments, and he continued to support our charities from his new restaurant.   He was made an Honorary Member in 2010 and retained this position until his death on December 4th 2014.   He leaves a wife, Lynne, daughter Cassie, and two grandchildren.

Graham Cooper joined us as our then youngest member in 2011.   He applied himself with enthusiasm to all the activities of the club and helped to set up the new web site, as well as joining the Development Committee, but unfortunately ill-health forced him to resign a few months ago.   He passed away in Myton Hospice on December 22nd, leaving a wife, Clare, and two children.

The sympathy of all our members goes to both families.

Franco’s funeral has already taken place.   The funeral for Graham will be at 11am on Thursday 15th January at St. Mary’s Church, Cubbington.
