Warwick Rotary and Lions clubs busy fund raising

Following last month’s successful Town Bonfire at the racecourse, when almost 5,000 people turned out to enjoy a great night out, the clubs are able to announce that proceeds of £13,000 will be shared between the clubs for their good causes.

Last year the Rotary Club raised nearly £20,000 from various fund raising events enabling it to make dozens of small donations to local organisations and schools, including the Sea Scouts, Warwick Ambulance Association and Heart of England Leukaemia and Lymphoma research.

Rotary are busy again over Christmas with the Lights of Love in Warwick Market Place, and will be collecting outside Tesco next Sunday, Dec 7th.

Both Lions and Rotary are collaborating again for the ever popular Carols at the Castle, now in its 43rd year. This is on Saturday December 20th and tickets are still available from the Tourist Information Office or the castle website
