DESCRIPTION:Organised by Rotary Charity Global Sight Solutions to mark the centenary of 55 clubs in the UK. \nRotarian John Miles will be speaking at our meeting to raise the profile of Rotary in the UK . \nAll are welcome to attend and find out what Rotary does. \nRotarians help those in need\, both domestically and internationally\, via the following seven Areas of Focus:- Peacebuilding and conflict prevention\, disease prevention and treatment\, water sanitation and hygiene\, maternal and child health\, basic education and literacy\, community economic development and the environment. \nYou’ll also hear about the amazing humanitarian work which Global Sight Solutions undertakes. \nGlobal Sight Solutions establishes top quality eye hospitals in the developing world which provide free eye care to the world poorest. You’ll hear about their plans for their 2023 Challenge – a 6\,000 mile Car Rally across Europe and Africa to raise awareness of Rotary and funds for GSS’s work. \nWarwick Rotary is hosting the evening at Delta Marriott Hotel in Warwick – formerly the Hilton\, with a buffet evening open to all\, cost £11 at 6.30 for 7pm.
