SUMMARY:Thai Festival moves to a new venue
DESCRIPTION:Warwick Thai festival moves to Warwick Racecourse.\nThis year the ever popular Warwick Rotary Thai festival is moving to the racecourse on Sunday July 31st.\nThe market square is no longer big enough\, and the festival programme could not be sustained without more support from sponsors. At the race course a small entry fee will be charged to cover the costs of the day’s entertainment and setting up the festival. \nTickets are now on sale\, on-line from the racecourse\, or at Warwick and Leamington Tourist Offices\, Claridges in Warwick\, Woodloes Post Office and The Larder Box cafe at Chase Meadow. Tickets are £3 in advance or £5 on the gate. \nThe festival is being supported by Warwick racecourse\, working in partnership with the Rotary Club for the benefit of the community. All of its facilities will be available to the public\, with easy access from the town and car parking.   Should a monsoon arrive\, like last year\, the stands at the racecourse will provide shelter whilst it passes. \nThe focus of the festival will be on Food\, with over 40 stalls selling food that would not be out of place in Bangkok. Other stalls will be selling Thai crafts and many aspects of eastern culture. \nBuddhist Monks will set up a temple and start the festival off with their ceremonies\, and the traditional reception of gifts from the traders. On stage throughout the day will be a top class presentation of Thai culture\, with dancing\, music\, kick boxing and cookery demonstrations. \nSponsorship from the Tourist Authority of Thailand\, Warwick Castle\, Mazda\, Costco and Chang Beer\, is supporting the costs of staging the event\, all profits are for charitable causes.\nSo put the date in your diary –  Sunday July 31st\, and come prepared for a great day out.\n \n  \nFor further information contact Alan Bailey 01789 268618 or  07932 52 \n  \nFor tickets visit Warwick Racecourse site\n       \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
