DESCRIPTION:Local children build Guys for the Town Bonfire on  Sat Nov 7th \nRemember\, remember the 7th of November\, gunpowder\, treason\, and plots…and Bonfires! \nCllr Christine Cross\, Deputy Mayor of Warwick\, and sponsor Ann Canning from The Tuckery in Warwick\, visited Newburgh Primary School on Tuesday to see the two Guys made by the children and hear about the Gunpowder Plot. They had made a traditional guy and his modern terrorist equivalent. \nThey then went to Westgate School where the children had also made a very realistic Guy\, who appears to be dreading his fate! \n£200 donated by The Tuckery will be shared between the schools and support their activities. \nAll the Guys will be placed on the Warwick Bonfire to be lit by the Mayor on Saturday Nov 7th at 6.30 at Warwick racecourse. Gates open at 5pm and there is plenty to do before the bonfire and firework show starts. \nOrganisers are expecting a good crowd\, there is free parking at the racecourse\, and several food outlets with hot food\, hot punch and candy floss\, as well as a children’s play area. \nTickets can be purchased; in Warwick from Torrys in West Street; the main Post Office; Claridges; Cabin News; Mellors; Warwick vacuum shop; and the Tourist Information Centres in Warwick and Leamington; as well as Woodloes Post Office; and The Larder Box cafe at Chase Meadows. Further details can be found on-line through the website www.warwicktownbonfire.org.uk; \nAdvance tickets – Adults and children 12 and over – £5; accompanying children under 12 free; On the gate adults and children 12 and over  £6; children under 12 £2; infants under 2yrs old free so it’s worth buying early. \n  \nThe event is organised by Warwick Lions and the Rotary Club of Warwick\, with all proceeds going to local charities and good causes. \nSponsorship has been provided by Warringtons of Warwick\, The Tuckery\, Baxi heating\, Bovis Homes and Murley Hyundai and pallets for the bonfire are being provided by Unipart Logistics\, with Warwick Racecourse allowing use of the site. \n \nHead Andrew Smith\, Cllr Christine Cross\, Warwick deputy Mayor\, and Anne Canning with children from Newburgh and their two Guy Fawkes. \n \nCllr Cross and Ann Canning with children from Westgate and their Guy. \n  \n
