SUMMARY:Youth Speaks - 2018
DESCRIPTION:This annual Public Speaking competition is open to pupils from local schools and youth organisations. \nRegrettably last year’s event had to be cancelled at the last meeting but this year the event\, which has been running for very many years\, is stepping up a gear and moving to a new venue\, which not only provides an excellent facility for all the competitors but also has very good parking facilities close at hand. \nThere are two age groups – the Intermediate Group and the Senior Group\, and each team chooses its own subject on which to speak.   These subjects have proved over the years to be as diverse\, controversial and entertaining as it is possible to be\, and as well as providing an extremely lively evening it introduces those taking part to the art of speaking in public. \nThis event in Warwick is the first stage  for those from this area\, and the winners go forward to further stages of the competition with the ultimate aim of becoming National Champions. \n
