Club Lunchtime Meeting
The speaker at this week's meeting will be Michael Jackson of the British Post Polio Fellowship, who will talk about Poliomyelitis, particularly relating to hydrotherapy treatment. The British Post Polio Fellowship is the largest UK Charity dedicated to supporting tens of thousands of people who survived the Polio Epidemics of the first half of the 20th Century. By popular demand we welcome the return to Warwick Rotary of Kath Ryan - The Cake Lady. How it all began... Cakes 4 Casualties started in 2009, albeit rather accidentally! The Cake Lady, known to others as Kath Ryan, was visiting her sister in Selly Oak Hospital. She decided to try and cheer her up by baking her some cakes. Today we welcome invited pupils and teachers to the Scholar's lunch. This gives us the opportunity to introduce ourselves to a wider audience to tell them something of what we do and seek to find ways in which we can work together. It also gives them the chance to seek our assistance in any of their projects.. The whole exercise is one of the highlights of the year
