At this meeting the Community Service Committee will make the presentation of a Meritorious Service Award to a member of the local community who, in their view, has served the town of Warwick well for a number of years. The recipient will receive a certificate and will also be presented with a cheque to his or her nominated charity. This is an event which takes place annually.

On Tuesday February 9th, Warwick Mayor, Mandy Littlejohn will set off local children in the annual pancake races organised by Rotary Club of Warwick. Children from local primary schools keep a tradition alive by racing in Warwick’s Market Square. Teams from 6 schools have entered this year and previous winners –Westgate School, are keen to hold on their trophies. The first round of the Annual Rotary Youth Speaks event will be held in St. Nicholas Church, Warwick on 11th February 2016 This very popular competition attracts pupils from most of the schools in the area and an extremely high standard of public speaking is witnessed. Visitors are most welcome to both the intermediate and senior events, from which the winners go forward to the area finals later in the year, with the ultimate prize being national champions.
