Kids Out
Kids Out, the event where local schoolchildren are taken by the Rotary Club on a day trip to Drayton Manor Park, will this year be on 12th June. The club provide the coach and a packed lunch and all the rides at the park are free of charge. Local schools have been asked to submit the names of pupils most likely to benefit from such a day out, and teaching staff and parents will be supporting the trip.

This years Schools Concert will be held at St.Mary's Church Warwick at 6pm on Tuesday 25th June. Already 9 schools have applied to take part in this very popular event which attracts a large audience. Each school participating plays individually at different age levels and at the end of the evening all the schools combine to join in a grand finale. Over 260 local children will be taking part. Warwick Town Bonfire
Remember, remember the 2nd of November, gunpowder, treason, and plots...and Bonfires! Cllr Bob Dhillon, Mayor of Warwick, recently visited Newburgh Primary School on Friday to judge the Guys made by children from a mixed group years 1-6, and was told about Guy Fawkes’ plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Once again the Christmas Tree in Warwick Market Place during the festive season will be illuminated with Lights of Love. Youth Speaks Competition- 2014
This very popular competition between local schools will again take place in St. Nicholas' Church, Warwick and the date has been announced as Thursday 6th February 2014. There are two age groups who will be taking part - the Intermediate Group for pupils between the ages of 11 & 13 on 31st August 2013, and the Senior Competition is for pupils aged 14 to 17 on 31st August 2013. Every year Rotary clubs throughout the Midlands and the charity “Kids Out” organise a day of fun and happiness for disabled and under-privileged children. Drayton Manor proves a hit with the children who enjoy the huge number of rides and attractions at the theme park.
