Many congratulations to the Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital whose nurses have been recognised as the best cancer nursing team in the country.

The Royal College of Nursing announced the team as the winners of their Cancer Nursing Award, beating stiff competition from others across the country.

The award recognises the impressive chemotherapy services being provided by nurses at the hospital.   Nurse consultant Carole Connor, who leads the team, said: “The nursing team and I were so pleased to receive the award. It recognises innovation and excellence in nursing so there were some extremely good nurses in all categories.   We never forget that our patients and their carers are at the heart of what we do.”

Warwick Rotary Club are proud to be associated with the unit, which is one of President Jon Wassall’s charities of the year.
