President John Hibben presented Roy Joyner BEM with a 30year Rotary service certificate at the club’s meeting on 4th April.

Roy joined Warwick Rotary Club in 1988 and has been Club President twice – once in 1992-93, and again in 2012-13 – as well as serving as Club Secretary for 8 years.  His charitable work for the community led to Rotary awarding him their Paul Harris Award in 2000 to which a Sapphire was added in 2011.

Outside Rotary, Roy has been a key member of the League of Friends at Warwick Hospital for many years, and has also been presented with a British Empire medal for his work with the Police force.

Roy remains a regular member and continues to volunteer and to assist with Club activities.
