Hon Member Richard Ashley passed to Higher Service on 18th August.
Richard had become increasingly frail and would have been 94 yrs old in September.
He joined the club in October 2000 and served as President in 2004/05. He was made a Paul Harris Fellow in August 2008 and a Sapphire member in 2017. Richard also served as Assistant Secretary managing the Club database.
Made an Honorary Member on retirement in 2021, he kept in touch with club, and we last saw him 11th December 2025, pic below.
His funeral service was held at Stoneleigh with a distinctly Welsh theme.
His wife Mary attended, but has now sadly passed away on October 15th.
We will remember them as welcoming and supportive with a great sense of humour.
RIP dear friends.
