Jun12 - Another Great Day Out for Kids

Rotary Club of Warwick organised a day out on Wednesday for 40 local youngsters to join over 4,000 children, from all over the West Midlands, at Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth.

The Mayor of Warwick – Cllr Mandy Littlejohn, joined Jackie Crampton, Rotary President at the Homebase store, Emscote Road, Warwick, early on Wednesday morning to greet the children and their teachers, and excitement mounted as the coach prepared to set off.

Every year Rotary and the charity “Kids Out” organise a day of fun and happiness for disabled and under-privileged children. Drayton Manor proves a hit with the children who enjoy the huge number of rides and attractions at the theme park. Drayton Manor Zoo’s baby animals are popular with all the children, as well as the park’s Thomas Land™ attraction. For the older and braver children there are the theme park’s bigger rides to enjoy.

Despite the cold wind, the sun shone and everyone coming home said they’d had a great day.
