Vice President Rachel Hinton met Carol Gough at Packmores Community Centre.
Rotary has given them £300 to buy 30 “Back to School” back packs and calculators for local children – 15 junior, and 15 senior starting back in September.
Evelyn’s Gift provided the notebooks, pencils and pens, seen here.
Carol and her colleague Amanda Burford can now go shopping for the backpacks etc.
Rachel took the opportunity to see the food parcels which the centre has made up for families struggling in the summer holidays and to hear about the “Fun Day” being held on Sat Aug 9th, and saw the site of the new Priory Pools Community Centre which the club has pledged to help.
