Warwick Rotary President David Brain today met Warwick Mayor Cllr Neale Murphy, to mark the installation of a new cabinet for the Shire Hall defibrillator.
Originally installed in 2012 the familiar green cabinet was replaced as it leaked, and the life-saving defibrillator had to sit under the desk at Shire Hall, only available in office hours.
Now available again 24/7, in the case of cardiac arrest, by dialling 999 a code is given to open the cabinet.
Warwick Rotary Club has funded the defibrillator and cabinet for the benefit of the local community.
Both Rotary and the Mayor encourage residents to learn the basics of CPR,
and details of courses can be found on www.warwickshirehearts.org
